Autumn 2008
P/X/001 7:30pm
ysc@yorkstudentcinema.org
All films are in P/X/001 (Physics Department) and start at 7:30pm, with doors opening at 6:45pm (unless otherwise specified).
Admission is £3.
For popular performances we recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment. To avoid queueing, why not buy advance tickets? Available before any showing. (Advance ticket holders please arrive at least 10 minutes before the performance.)
Food and drink are NOT allowed inside the cinema. (University regulations, not ours!)
Any of our members can attend our screenings. If you are a member of the University of York (student or staff) then you are automatically a University Member of York Student Cinema for free.
If you're not a member of the University of York and would like to attend our screenings, then you can become a Private Member for just £3. Your membership fee entitles you to one free ticket worth £3. Membership is available before any of our showings. Please ask staff on the advanced tickets desk.
YSC reserves the right to refuse entry to any customer at any time.
We're always looking for new members, whether you're interested in projecting, writing for our magazine, selling tickets or just having fun.
At the start of each term we hold an introductory meeting for prospective members, which is a great way to meet us in an informal setting.
Don't worry if you miss the intro meeting, just come along to P/X/001 at about 6:30pm on the night of a film and make yourself known to anyone scurrying around. Unfortunately we can't offer money for your hard work, but we can guarantee a good time, plus you get to see all of our films for free.
Here you can find answers to questions such as why we show advertisements before showings or if your society wants to show a film with us, you can find out how here.
